Our first trip to the Lake District was incredible and was made even more special staying at the Oak Retreat. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. Loved the breakfast and log burner and a great nights sleep after a long day of hiking. Deserves all the praise it receives!

I cannot recommend Christine’s place enough! The attention to detail was amazing, the place felt comfortable and homely, and the location was just what we wanted. The welcome gifts were such a lovely surprise (the best coffee I’ve had so far) and the bed was very comfy....
