The Blencowe Hall Byre function room is a step free flexible additional accommodation option for your stay at Blencowe Hall and is available by separate arrangement.
It offers internal space of 6 meters x 12 meters and can seat up to 50 guests on four round tables of 10 and a head table or via a traditional trestle table arrangement. It can also be used as a break out room with smaller tables for work or activity groups.
The sandstone terrace is accessed by sliding floor to ceiling doors. The Byre function room and its adjoining terrace are step free.
The Byre forms an extension to the original Grade 2 listed byre at Blencowe Hall which was a building at risk. The restoration and extension of the byre has retained the original sandstone stonework and Westmorland slate roof whilst extending the space and incorporating floor to ceiling windows and an external terrace space.
The Blencowe Hall Conferencing Room and shepherds huts project has been supported by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas.
The project entailed the restoration of its courtyard building to retain the heritage of Grade 1 listed Blencowe Hall whilst adding a multi-use conference and function room and development of three back-to-nature Shepherds Huts situated in the field neighbouring Blencowe Hall overlooking the River Petteril.
