Quaint location, everything you needed right on your doorstep (pub, bakery/shop, walks & activities). Peaceful setting, private outdoor space. Well equipped kitchen, with well put together hamper full of lovely goodies! The Toiletries smelled delightful, the towel nice crisp and white. Beds were comfortable and roomy. Pool table was an absolute hit with the family. Overall a great property in a lovely location, would definitely recommend and would love to visit another property on the rowley estate portfolio!

We had a very pleasant five night stay at Kirkbride Hall over the festive period. The property has everything you would need for an enjoyable stay and had been tastefully decorated for Christmas with a tree and garlands. The house was very clean upon arrival and the kitchen and bathrooms had all of the amenities that were required and were to a very high standard. The welcome hamper was a great starter and the contents were almost all locally sourced. We had a small issue with the heating in one of the bedrooms/bathrooms when we arrived, but this was quickly resolved by Christine, who at all times was very responsive to any request that may have had.

Five star plus from start to end, a wonderful family Christmas in a great property, excellent communication and so professional and friendly throughout – thanks Christine and team. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this house

Had an amazing few nights away; 7 people and 2 dogs. An amazing property in a nice quiet location. Local bakery and pub within 5-10 minute walk. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic place! Everything was super clean and tidy and the kitchen extremely well equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are plenty big enough and immaculate with toiletries provided. It really felt like a home from home. The food hamper was packed full of delicious treats and the milk, butter and eggs came in very handy. Every detail had been thought of from the oil to cook with down to the dishwasher tablets. There is literally everything you need.
Our weekend was mostly spent relaxing (in front of the cosy log burner) and walking locally but there are lots of things to do which are just a short drive away.
We stayed at Kirkbride Hall for 3 nights and it was perfect for our party of four plus Mia (the dog!). It actually sleeps 8 but we rather enjoyed the extra space and the fenced garden was ideal for Mia.
The only thing which could have made it even more enjoyable for me would have been bird feeders in the garden but I managed to see lots of birds in the surrounding area which was wonderful.
We would definitely come back and stay here again. It’s simply fabulous!

Wow wow wow. This was the most amazing air bnb we’ve stayed at. The location was idyllic with lots of lovely local walks. The accommodation itself was just perfect. Everything was kitted out well and it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Christine was incredibly responsive and was really proactive in providing up front recommendations of local attractions and things to visit during our stay. I would really recommend this place to stay and we will definitely be coming back.

On a beautiful estate just outside of a small village (with an excellent pub and cafe), it’s bordered by church and woodlands that provide such a peaceful setting. The house itself is amazing, thoughtfully designed with everything you need. You can set out from the house on foot for some great walks, or are within a short drive of great hiking, climbing and everything the Lakes has to offer. Christine was so responsive throughout and provided high chairs, travel cots and an extremely generous welcome hamper – nothing seemed too much. The garden of the house is so serene, bordered by these majestic stone walls with the golden hour catching the row of trees on the lawn and a back gate leading straight into the woods behind. A truly magical place.

Superb accommodation and a great place to use as a base. Very comfortable and well looked after by the hosts.

This was not my first visit to the Rowley Estates properties but it was our first visit to Kirkbride Hall and like every other property this one did not disappoint at all.
We were a family of 8 of various ages from 5 to 75.
The house itself is certainly big enough for you to socialize all together without feeling on top of each other.
The kitchen has every dish, cups, pots, pans and utensils you could ever want.
We were very lucky to hit on a long weekend when the sun shone because the garden is just perfect. Big and very private.

As a regular visitor to the Rowley Estates one of my favorite things is the hamper you receive. Its is filled with the most amazing goodies. Far better than any other gift hamper from other companies.
