We had 24 people for a birthday 3 days . The castle is a wonderfully interesting building that feels like a 5 star hotel. Bedrooms fantastic. Lovely kitchen with big Aga. Very well equipped . good catering from Lynne Hilditch using many vegetables she grows herself. The beef she coooked for us was amazing. So much to do in the area. We had a great time.

From the moment we contacted Rowley Estates to make our booking they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. The second you arrive at Blencowe Hall it really is a dream come true, the entire family were literally blown away by the magical presence of the castle. The rooms are just beautiful and the views stunning. Celebrating my birthday is something the whole family will always remember and we have the most special memories of 3 generations at Blencowe. We thank the team and highly recommend the Hall for any event or stay.

An absolutely fantastic stay. Christine was incredibly helpful. Great communication before our stay including suggestions of local events/walks. We stayed in Cazenovia Hall & Wythburn as we were a group of 8. The accommodation was excellent, clean, tidy, spacious and had everything we needed. Lots of little details – a folder full of suggested walks, recommended restaurants and even things like dog bowls/treats in case we’d forgotten to bring some. The gift basket upon arrival was great – bread, homemade jam, biscuits etc – lovely! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking in this area. A wonderful weekend at Cazenovia Hall with family and friends. It is not often that you visit a holiday home that is so well equipped – from candles and tea lights to almost every kitchen gadget, serving plates, vases, etc. we couldn’t want for more. Loved our first experience with an Aga! The views from every window are stunning. Bedrooms were lovely and the Lakes products provided are a lovely touch. A very quiet and peaceful area – we didn’t hear either neighbouring cottages. A lovely 30 minutes walk to the Boot & Shoe in Greystoke for a delicious lunch. All in all we would highly recommend. Christine was wonderful to communicate with and couldn’t do enough for us.

Cazenovia Hall was hired along with Blencowe Hall for our wedding. Our guests felt they had landed in luxury. Aside from being beautiful, the Hall had everything they needed, a real home from home including a lovely welcome basket of goodies. A gem to return to one day.

A wonderful location, walkable to Greystoke, which hosts a great pub, with brilliant child play area in the beer garden behind, and outdoor Lido and play area. Great dog walks around and nice and peaceful. Very convenient to get to the outskirts of Penrith for shops.
The property is very well equipped and comfortable throughout. With private terrace and bbq, we, as a family and with some fortunate weather, had a really relaxed time.

We had such a lovely stay at Cazenovia Hall and Wythburn Cottage. Both cottages were so well equipped; there wasn’t anything we could have possibly needed. The cottages had everything you would expect and more. Even down to things like plastic cutlery for children, a high chair, travel cots, toiletries in all bathrooms, all cooking equipment.

We enjoyed using the pool table in Cazenovia Hall and there were plenty of places indoor and outdoor to relax. There is a pub within a 20min walk which was dog friendly and very welcoming.

Christine, who manages the property, is very responsive and always got back to me straight away with any questions I had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be looking to return!!

A wonderful home from home for a group of us to get away and spend quality time together in a quality setting. We enjoyed the countryside with a circular 7 mile walk including a pub lunch – all with maps and loads of suggestions of what to do ready for us which was so helpful. The welcome basket is the best I’ve ever experienced – generous and full of local treats and key supplies to keep us going. The bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully clean and sumptuous, with a very well stocked kitchen and logs for the fire. We literally could not have asked for anything more. I would heartily recommend Glassonby Hall.

We stayed at Hause Hall in October 2021 for five days for our elopement. We really wanted to make our wedding more than just the wedding day, a real experience for our children and friends and our stay surpassed all our expectations. We booked Hause Hall without viewing due to covid restrictions but it was clear that it provided everything we wanted from the website; secluded and intimate for our tiny wedding, just eight of us, cosy but full of natural light, with easy lake and fell access and of course infinite incredible backdrops for our photographs. When we were able to view Hause Hall in person a few months later, we were blown away and it made us even more excited for our day. Christine and Joanna were so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble and they really let us shape the day we wanted, without the formulaic approach to weddings we see at venues week in, week out being wedding photographers ourselves. The accommodation is outstanding, the kitchen is well stocked and the welcome hamper is such a lovely treat! Joanna popped in for a final planning meeting the day before the wedding, having chatted things over on the phone in the run up to the wedding and on the day Joanna was everything we needed her to be, really helpful but unobtrusive. I’d recommend Hause Hall to anyone planning an intimate wedding in the Lake District because I truly believe it’s such a special place that offers you everything your could want for your day – and so much more!
