We had a family gathering for my husbands 70th, there were 25 adults and 10 children we used Blencowe Hall and Cazenovia Hall looking at pictures online does not give it justice, It was AMAZING.
Everything was clean from the bedroom to the kitchen which was very well stocked with everything you needed.

We were able to have a family dinner on the Saturday and had the use of the Byre.

we expected it to be cold so took warm clothes but they were not needed it was so cosy everywhere.

Christine (Host) was very helpful and answered all our question.

Riverain Coach House.

Once again a small group of friends stayed at one of the Rowley Estates properties.

All I can say is amazing.

Christine and her team take great care in making your stay very welcoming from the most fabulous hamper to letting you known what is going on in the area while you are there.

It was lovely to return to Riverain as it was the first one of the Rowley properties we stayed at about 10 years ago.

Like all of the properties, Riverain is still a first class cottage.

This is the second time I have stayed in a holiday let from “Rowley Estates” and both have been clean and well equipped to a very high standard.
Glassonby Hall is spacious and full of character. It was a wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary with my wider family. The time was over too quick but we all made some special memories.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful surroundings. The cabin is lovely and Christine has done an excellent job with the space available. This is a small space so compromises have to be made, however it is very cosy. The bed is a fold down bed which takes the space where the dining table is. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Amazing little touches when we arrived including some delicious local produce. Fantastic communication from Christine all the way through the process, very responsive and gave very clear information. We had 66mph winds whilst we were there and can say that the cabin is sturdy! Very close to some good mountains if you’re into the outdoors. We scrambled up Blencathra which was a 15 minute drive away. Penrith is closeby with some nice restaurants and bars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverain! Amazing place with beautiful surroundings. Host very helpful and welcoming too. Would definitely recommend!

I will start off by saying Christine’s communication and level of detail is the best I’ve experienced in a holiday rental. From sending us information about what’s on in the area, to remembering I am bringing my grandpa to the area (he hadn’t been back for 40+ years) and writing it in a welcome card mentioning this. As well as putting a commode in the accommodation for him to use (we didn’t even ask!). It’s truly outstanding and made our stay smooth and stress free. My grandpa loved reading the books on the area and looking at the maps. The log fire was already set up for us to use. The hamper was just gorgeous. Sustainable and natural products in the bathrooms. These little details made us feel right at home. The kitchen has everything needed, utensils and products. Everything had been thought about. I had a problem with flies in the top room but there was even fly killer spray so it was fine! What a special few days with making memories my grandpa is so grateful for. Thank you

Perfect house for a large group of friends . Great kitchen which was very well equipped and very comfy beds. The house was beautifully warm . Would really recommend

Melmerby Hall is a fantastic property set in beautiful grounds. The accommodation is excellent with 9 en-suite bedrooms, several reception rooms, a spacious kitchen and a snooker room making it ideal for meeting friends. Travel a few miles and you could be in the Lake District or the Pennines so there is plenty to explore locally.

Great Value for a property of such stature I thoroughly recommend it.

An amazing house for a birthday gathering, with hill-walking, mountain biking and dog walks from the doorstep and paddle boarding a few minutes away on Ullswater. Big but cosy and beautifully fitted out so it was a pleasure to simply sit and gaze at the fells on a rainy day.

Absolutely fantastic communication throughout. The welcome hamper had everything we needed for breakfast which was a great bonus. The views are stunning and the area so peaceful. We will definitely book again.
