Jenny’s Croft is a great cottage that is dog friendly with lovely gardens. The housekeeping team are very helpful.

We stayed here for Christmas week and honestly had a perfect family time. The Hall is spacious but cosy with big log fires, comfy beds and seats and every possible kitchen/eating thing you can think of. Christine and Jilly couldn’t have been more helpful before we arrived and also whilst we were there.
There are so many ideas of what to do nearby but also lots of games provided when the weather’s bad- including the amazing snooker table!
We also hired a hot tub which was great after a long walk but also lovely to sit in when it was snowing.
Go and stay there!

Myself and 11 other fabulous friends stayed at Hause Hall and Cruik Barn last weekend and it was the best accommodation we have ever found in our 25 years of meeting up twice yearly for our girly get-togethers. The house and barn were both furnished to a very high standard, bedrooms and bathrooms all beautifully decorated and modern, warm and comfortable. The views from the conservatory are stunning and all our walks started on the doorstep. Welcomed with a fully stocked hamper too which was very much appreciated. I would love to stay there again in the future and if I could choose from all the places we’ve stayed, I would choose this one; it was the best of the best. Thank you

From opening the front door we were blown away by this beautiful house, so warm and welcoming, The standard and attention to detail that has gone into this house is exceptional, the bed linen, towels, very well equipped kitchen, everything about this house is amazing, every room we went in was fabulous, every person in our party (8 of us) were over the moon that we had found this GEM. We cannot wait until we visit again.

The property provided the perfect setting for my 60th birthday celebrations with my family. The booking process was friendly and efficient, the property was cosy, extremely well equipped and the location was stunning . Hause Hall is surrounded by magnificent scenery in a tranquil setting. I could not have wished for anything better so thanks to all concerned.

Booked this with Glassonby old hall and Jenny’s cottage for a big family 60th birthday celebration and couldn’t have wished for a better place. Accommodation in all three was stunning and there was something for everyone: walks for the walkers, drives for the drivers and a fantastic place to rest for the rest! The complimentary hampers were an amazing treat too – almost more than could be consumed in a weekend, ‘doggy-bags’ needed. The place was everything we were hoping for and more – will definitely be back! Thanks

We booked this cottage at random and what a fantastic surprise as we came through the door – 5 star perfection, both inside and out!! We tried out several pubs and walks as recommended. The muddy climb up the hill at The Shepherds Inn at Melmerby through 3 fords is a great way to work up an appetite for Sunday lunch. One other recommendation – The Bridge Bistro just outside Appleby is classy and open all day. A hugely memorable weeks holiday. Thank you so much!
