We were there for October Half Term and while the weather was typically Cumbrian we needed a great cottage to recover. Wythburn Cottage was just what we needed and with everything to cater to a teenager family and in particular the billiards table. All of the bedrooms were en-suite and the cottage was a luxury compared to home. If you want to spend time in Northern Lakes then this is hard to beat.

We have had an amazing stay here at Wythburn Cottage. Every amenity has been thought of and the welcome hamper the best we have ever had! Thank you. Max enjoyed the snow especially building a snowman with his Daddy. We ate some fabulous meals namely at the Boot and Shoe, the Bridge (on the A66) and Dockray Hall. We can especially recommend the Bridge and it’s twice baked cheese souffle!! Thank you for a wonderful holiday – we will definitely be back!!

We have stayed in many self catering cottages in the Lakes but keep returning to Rowley Estates, which includes Wythburn Cottage. Both the properties of theirs that we have stayed in are well presented, comfortable, clean, well equipped and located in beautiful surroundings. The ‘welcome pack’ is particularly generous. There is no doubt that we will stay in one of their properties again.

Had amazing stay at Wythburn Cottage, we would definitely recommend to family and friends. Beautiful cottage!!

We have enjoyed a delightful stay at Wythburn cottage and I highly recommend it should you be looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of the country.

The cottage is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was a thoughtful basket of food left which included some of the tastiest jam I think I can remember.

6 of us had a brilliant 4 days at Wythburn Cottage we needed for nothing, it’s a lovely cottage and the scenery is breathtaking. We visited Keswick on market day too! Christine kept in touch with us up until our arrival explaining everything! Thank you

We rented wythburn cottage for Christmas this year. With a large family we rented cazenovia and wythburn. They are next to one another so perfect for coming back and forward. Lovely house with 3 en-suite bedrooms. Kitchen dinning area downstairs snd a beautiful lounge on the top floor. Both houses were spotless and well equipped with everything you could need. Views of surrounding countryside lovely. Only a short walk to the lovely village of Greystokes were you can have drinks and food in the friendly pub. We have stayed in several of Rowley estates properties and have never been disappointed. We thoroughly recommend them as a company. Christine and her team are always on hand and do a top job.

Wythburn Cottage is a beautiful oasis in a small and quiet area just outside Blencowe. The cottage is furnished to a high standard with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break in a quiet and delightful surrounding. We will definitely be back at some point to rediscover this area just outside of the lakeland national park.

Hause hall is in the most beautiful & rather remote location in the Lakes! We love Ullswater & it was a great spot for quiet walks. Christine made us up the most spectacular hamper for our arrival! A kind & thoughtful Christmas treat. You would expect some small bits but it was a huge goodie basket & we’ve even brought some of it home with us! She was also kind enough to let us arrive earlier than check in & allowed my mum who has ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) to stay an hr after the usual check out time which was really kind. The house is incredibly well equipped & has things you would find in a home but rarely in an air bnb!! It was fantastic to have so many pots & pans, two dishwashers & electric oven with gas hob in addition to the Aga which was great when cooking for more than 10 people on Christmas Day. We had a wonderful time & we will remember our time at Martindale & talk about it fondly for many years to come! Thank you for making my son’s first Christmas a special one! X

Hause Hall is a very special place: amazing views, wonderful walks from the farm and really generously and thoughtfully equipped. Our families had the best time and the owner could not have been more helpful with information and advice. Highly recommended!
