Wow, what an amazing place. It is absolutely stunning , without doubt, one of the best places I have ever stayed

Absolutely amazing experience staying in this beautiful place for 3 nights in December with all my family, cannot recommend highly enough ❤️

I cannot recommend Blencowe Hall highly enough. I rented it for 3 nights to help celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday last week. Pre event communication from Christine was first class but when we got to the hotel, we were blown away. It was better than I dared to dream.

The hall was set in incredible grounds and everything was first class. 12 beautiful bedrooms (10 of which were ensuite) and fantastic entertaining space – a dining room where we could all sit, a huge living room with log fires and a big double kitchen which was perfect for cooking (and drinks prep).

We used Lynn Hilditch (Lynn Cooks) on one evening to cook a celebratory meal and she was amazing too with super friendly staff.

We needed to contact Christine a couple of times during our stay to help find things/work out the heating sysytem and she was always quick to come back and eager to please. First class service.

I cannot recommend the venue highly enough and there’s already talk of a reunion in 2024!

Absolutely fabulous 4 night stay for our wedding weekend! Joanna and Christine are very helpful and respond immediately. They let us view the estate twice before our stay. The property is stunning and extremely spacious. We were even able to do some clay pigeon shooting to the rear of the property, which was so much fun for ourselves and our guests! The welcome basket was perfect to start off our stay, and check-in instructions were clear. Everything functioned well, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We were a total of 12 people and had more than enough space. I would most definitely recommend for weddings or any family/friend gatherings!!

It was a family re-union. Sixteen of us came from the four corners of the earth – literally – and Blencowe Hall was there with open arms. Fabulous welcome pack and beautiful bedrooms, log fires, a gorgeous dining room and amazing kitchen – all ready for us thanks to Gail and her team.

And we were so lucky with the weather – nibbles and champagne before our black tie and posh frock dinner and star-watching later – on the terrace.

Dinner – superlative – with thanks to Lynn Hilditch and her team – faultless and scrummy.

Just returned from a fabulous 3-night stay at the Amazing Blencowe Hall and Cottages.
All 35 family members from 2 -82 years fell in love with this magical castle. The rooms and grounds are all 5-star. The kitchen was so fully equipped there was nothing we needed!!!
Both cottages were also exceptional. Beautiful White soft bedding and towels with top-class toiletries.

Blencowe Hall and surrounding cottages are a fantastic location for a wedding for about 50 people. As it is a self catered accommodation, your wedding can be exactly as you want, without any restrictions on which caterers/florists/hair dressers you use. You can get married in multiple locations, both inside and outside. The byre is perfect for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. Blencowe Hall’s dining room and solor room are also brilliant for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment for a smaller number of people. The Rowley Estate staff are lovely, kind and helpful. They respond very quickly to emails and phone calls and give fantastic advice and help. The house and cottages are beautiful accommodation, giving your wedding a lovely holiday feel for you and all your guests.

We had a great wedding weekend at Blencowe Hall and the three cottages on the grounds. From the start, communication and planning with Joanna and Christine was fantastic, they always responded to emails and gave so much information, it really helped with planning from afar. Our two visits to view the venue beforehand really settled our nerves and again, Joanna helped us along with hints and tips as well as supporting us with our own ideas. On the weekend of the wedding we arrived to a clean and tidy house, with everything we needed for all our friends and family. The kitchen is well stocked with enough things for hundreds of people, let only the 30 of us! We got married in the Solar Room upstairs, with all our guests seated comfortable and with enough space for me to walk down the aisle with my dad. We used an Amp for just which worked great in the room. We also then used the same room for the party after dinner, again, plenty of room for dancing and also chatting. The fire places were well used Sunday for toasted marshmallows and chats with friends. All the bedrooms are really comfy, all our guests said how great they slept and how comfy the mattresses were. All but 2 bedrooms are en suite but still have a private bathroom down the hall. This worked well for us as a group of 3 friends were able to share. We used the South Tower main bedroom, top floor, as our wedding suite. There was plenty of room for me and my bridesmaids in the morning, along with both mums and hair and makeup being done. There is also a separate dressing room were I was able to put my dress on in private. The balcony and windows gave for some stunning views! If we could do it all again, we would pick this venue over and over again! We really can’t recommend it enough and are already planning when we can next get family together to book the main house again!

We enjoyed a wonderful wedding weekend at Blencowe Hall – it was a perfect venue and the team that helped with the recommendations of suppliers and preparation could not have been more helpful. All the recommended suppliers that we used were fabulous – its certainly worth using the ones on the list supplied! We were lucky enough to be able to get married outside in the gardens, with a brass band present and a wonderful reception & wedding party for 50 people in the Byre. If anyone is looking for a perfect wedding venue – look no further. It couldn’t have been better and will not only be memorable to us – but also to all our guests – who all loved it too – many saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

We absolutely loved our stay and wedding at Blencowe Hall! The hall had everything we needed and the grounds were the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. Christine and Joanna were amazing from booking to the big day, always on hand if we needed anything. Our families loved the weekend in the castle and we’ll never forget our stay there.
