Me and my partner are quite introverted and this stay maximised it! It was a perfect quiet setting but was not far from Keswick or anywhere we went. Christine gave us lots of great foods for our stay and it was really everything we wanted. Walking up to the sheep in the fields and seeing the mist on the hills was the perfect greeting and the difference sources of cooking was great as I am veggie so we could do a bbq half inside and out! A really brilliant stay if you want a quiet serene atmosphere with cosy towns just arms length. If you do stay here we would recommend to go to Buttermere the drive from the hut was amazing! We brought some string lights and hung them around the ‘camp’ which was a nice touch and would recommend as it gets quite dark. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again, hopefully we will!

Perfect tucked away place. The place itself ended up being what I liked the most about Lake District. The spot is just what you need for a easy getaway weekend in Lake District. I hope I can come back soon!

We had a lovely stay – the little details such as the coffee and jam really made it feel special. It felt like a secluded spot even though you are close to all the sights and amenities. I would recommend the larch retreat

We had a great time at Gill Beck and would certainly return in the future. Everything we could imagine we might need was there and the best welcome pack ever, we really can’t think of any suggestions we could make to improve a guest experience. We hope we got the recycling right, we have lived in five counties and each one has been different so we went with what we do here.

Beautiful, amazing, stunning.

We have being using Rowley Estates for several years now & this is the third different property we have tried owned by Christine at Rowley Estates & it did not disappoint as normal 🙂 We stayed for a week & it was so relaxing the local pub & bakery were amazing highly recommended made several visits & they are both dog friendly & easy walking distance ! The dogs loved the garden it was massive they spent ours chasing each other around it 🙂
The three on suite rooms were lovely we stayed up stairs & the view was amazing fields all around you full of sheep. Lots of lovely dog walks without getting in a car.
The welcome hamper is also great everything in it was lovely.

This was our second visit to a Rowley Estates property. A group of 5 couples. Our first visit was to Jenny’s Croft and Glassonby Old Hall (2 properties booked as one for our group).

Todd Hills Hall has been finished to the same high standard, we couldn’t fault any of the properties. All rooms had either an ensuite or adjacent bathroom. The cooking and dining facilities were excellent, well equipped for a large group self catering.

Our stay was in November last year, just getting around to posting! We enjoyed cosy nights with the wood burner inside and also made use of the outdoor firepit. The aga kept the kitchen/dining area cosy. Central heating also very effective in the winter month, all rooms were warm and cosy.

The village is in walking distance. We had a lovely walk around, wandered round the shop and had tea and cake in the garden of the cafe which was lovely. In the evening we ate at the Shepherds Inn for dinner. The food was excellent.

Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing trip for the whole family. Todd Hills was more than we could have asked for, everything was perfect.

We had a great time at Cazenovia Hall and Wthburn Cottage. We were a party of 12 and used the Hall for all our meals and socialising. There was sufficient space to do this. The properties were well equipped and the Welcome Basket was probably the best we’ve ever had, full of essentials and touches of luxuries too. The toiletries were well received too. The additional aids for our less mobile friend were very helpful and much appreciated.
