Really friendly and responsive host, Accommodation was exactly as described and great attention to detail, the surroundings were picturesque and the accommodation was perfectly situated. Would highly recommend and won’t hesitate to return. The price for the accommodation and amenities was reasonable and we could not fault anything about our stay.

Peaceful location and everything you need in this cozy hut. Thoughtful welcome pack on arrival! Self check in was easy and Christine the host was friendly and informative with the details.

Great deal, venue and communication!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Oak Retreat. The space is clean, quiet, comfortable, and you feel like you’re on your own, yet know there are people nearby if you need anything. The wood burning stove was lovely, and plenty of wood was supplied. The kitchen was well stocked, plus delicious breakfast foods were supplied (including coffee!!! 😋). The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower worked great, WiFi was great…. View was beautiful… No complaints.

Lovely place to stay, would love to return

We had an amazing break at the Oak Retreat. The hut is of a very high standard with a wood burning stove great for the winter evenings. It is in beautiful surroundings and is a great base for the northern lakes. On our arrival the cabin was warm and welcoming after driving through the snow. The little things like the food hamper of local produce and bathroom products really made it feel special, we particularly enjoyed the muesli, the hamper contained everything we needed for breakfast and was a really nice touch. For the EV driver there are a number of chargers on site and were easy to use. We would love to visit again and would heartily recommend staying in the Oak Retreat. Thank you Christine we had a wonderful break.

We had the loveliest stay at Oak Retreat! Christine is a wonderful host who was always happy to help with any questions. The hut itself is so cosy and refreshing, every detail has been thought about and it really shows. The welcome hamper was filled with fresh jam, coffee, muesli and bread which was lovely and the fridge had some bits too! Not to mention, the shower products supplied made my hair so soft 🙂 . The field opposite the hut is a cow field, but they are so quiet that it is perfect and so sweet to look out at the cows every morning with a cuppa. The bed was also so comfy and we would never have left it if it wasn’t for the beautiful walks in the area. I would 100% recommend!

Very cosy and clean hut in the middle of the countryside. Christine didnt bother us while we were there but made it very clear she was there if we needed anything. The place was done to a very high standard and was the little touches such as milk, butter and a lovely food hamper on arrival really made it. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quiet and picturesque place to relax for a few days
