Well-appointed, spacious cottage for four and a dog! We had a relaxing few days on our first break since lockdown. Everything is of high quality and all you need is provided. We’ll be back!

The cottage was really cosy and a pleasure to come back to after some fabulous walks taking in the beautiful scenery. We made good use of your well informed folders of suggested walks. These made life really easy as we didn’t need to pore over the internet finding our own. The cottage was well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised that you provided so much for our four legged friends by way of towels, bowls etc. Our vizsla, Haji particularly liked reclining in front of the log burner after a long walk in the hills!

I must mention the welcome pack too!… all the essentials like tea, coffee, milk etc with some really naughty goodies too and all beautifully presented. At first I thought we would never eat so many biscuits and chocolate but after hours of walking and two teenagers in the house, it soon went! The champagne was a lovely, thoughtful addition too.

I would also like to comment on your communication Christine which was absolutely outstanding. Your timing and positivity was excellent in what has been and continues to be uncertain times. You offered a high level of engagement which gave us trust and confidence that our holiday would go ahead. Thank you for also being so flexible.

We will certainly book another holiday with you ( when we are free to do so) and would love to experience another property. We will also not hesitate in recommending Rowley Estates to our friends and families.

We had a lovely stay in Jenny’s Croft over half-term. It was warm and comfortable with plenty of space and a very practical laundry room and kitchen; good for boots, or drying wet rain jackets. There is nicely kept outside space for guests to use as well. Downstairs is a huge open plan living room and dining room with plenty of little nooks for a chair or two in addition to a big family seating area. The cottage was very clean and attractive with a generous hamper waiting for us. We particularly enjoyed the homemade raspberry jam. It was perfect for our family of four to get away for some hiking during half term.

We have just had the most wonderful 5 nights staying in Jenny’s Croft which really is the most perfect base to explore the Lake District. The cottage is very well appointed, is warm, cosy & welcomes dogs. The welcome pack was amazing & full of lovely treats as well as the essentials. We did some fabulous walks around Ullswater, had lots of delicious coffee from the Village Bakery in Melmerby & stocked up on supplies from Cranstons in Penrith. We couldn’t recommend it more highly & Christine & her team were a pleasure to deal with.

Just returned from a long weekend at Jenny’s Croft. 1st class everything. Excellent communication with the owners (thank you Christine). Superb location and great walks right from the front door. Jenny’s is immaculately presented and quality through out. Excellent welcome pack too! Won’t be long before we’re back at one of the Rowley Estates properties.

We spent a week at Jenny’s Croft and it was delightful. We chose it because we wanted somewhere rural and would also provide a good base to get around and also to meet up with family. We were not disappointed as The Croft was of a very high standard and the setting was beautiful. Thank you for a beautiful hamper, the fruit bowl was great and everything in it was delicious. We also enjoyed the champagne courtesy of an early booking! We found everything to be as described and everything was catered for so no reason to be disappointed! Although there are other cottages adjoining you still have provided sufficient privacy to allow everyone to sit out – which all 3 cottages did on one of the evenings as we enjoyed the last of the days sunshine! Thank you Christine for your advice and prompt responses it was very helpful and very much appreciated, you have done a great job!

Perfect cottage in beautiful setting. Plenty of rest, relaxation and good walks. Acorn Bank is a must as is Lanercost Priory. Also had great morning on South Tynedale Railway and visited Carlisle Cathedral. Will go home with many happy memories and lots of photo’s! Thank you!

Jenny’s Croft is a fabulous cottage! The rooms are spacious and comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The whole cottage is exceptionally well equipped, everything you could need is provided. The welcome hamper is a delightful extra – full of delicious treats!
