We had a wonderful stay at Riverain over the festive season, it was such a cosy space and every little detail had been thought of to make it a welcoming trip, from binders full of local information to a lovely hamper. Great location for exploring Ullswater and Keswick.

An amazing place in a fantastic location. Our stay was brilliant, such an impressive well organised and comfortable place to spend time.

Our family had a really happy time at Glassonby Old Hall and Jenny’s Croft for Christmas. Enjoyed cooking Christmas lunch in the Aga and eating in the magnificent setting of the hall. Lovely walking in beautiful countryside and comfy beds made for a memorable end to 2021.

44 of us stayed ay Blencowe in mid December 2021 for a 50tth birthday celebration and it was without doubt the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. All of our guests thought it was a fantastic venue and could not believe how well every room had been refurbished. It is somewhere I would highly recommend

Just spent an extended family Christmas at blencowe hall. A fabulous location in an amazing building. Can’t recommend Lynn enough if you’re looking for a catered option, the food was delicious and Lynn catered to all our varied needs. The accomadation was comfortable and spacious. Thanks to Christine and her team for making our Christmas very special

This is our second stay at Elk Cottage and we loved it. It is a beautiful, comfortable and very welcoming cottage. It is also spotlessly clean and was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome hamper is by far the best we have come across – there was even something for the dogs. We loved the log burner and there were plenty of logs. There were lots of books to read on offer too. We slept really well as the bed was so comfortable. The location is great – there is good walking in beautiful, quiet countryside from the door. Christine at The Rowley Estates was really helpful and responsive to questions emailed and it was lovely to meet her in person when the dogs went to say hello. The cottage is a definite recommend from us.

We had a fabulous time at Jenny’s croft and would highly recommend it.

Just to say that we had a great time with you and found everything to be perfect.

We were looking for a venue to meet up with our children – four of whom live in and around Edinburgh, one in Newcastle and one in Norwich.

The size of the place was perfect, the bedrooms were more than big enough for the little people who came with us as well and everything we could possibly need was there.

We were celebrating Christmas together for the first time in over 10 years! That meant cooking a full Christmas Dinner for 12 adults and three infants – it was no problem at all. And to sit all together round one table was an absolute joy.

Having Vale Croft as well meant we had a spill-out space if it got too much – myself and my wife stayed there and were the only ones to use it!

Although we are only there from Friday night to Monday morning, we used the swings in Langworthy twice and also went to the Soft Play area at Rheged with the little ones whilst others shopped thanks to your information.

It was our first time there, but I suspect that it might not be our last!

Thanks for all you did for us whilst we were there – really couldn’t fault anything.

Absolutely fabulous!!! Spent a long weekend with the whole family here as an early Christmas – 12 adults and three children. There was nothing we needed even to cook a full Christmas dinner – it was so well equipped. Bedrooms were fabulous, and there was so much space to enjoy each others company – especially all eating together round one table. First time for us – but will not be our last!!!
