We got married at Hause Hall in October 2021. The venue was a perfect, intimate place with on-site accommodation for our guests. We loved the modern-rustic aesthetic of the venue, which felt very authentically Cumbrian and perfect for the setting. The ceremony room had plenty of light, with incredible views of the hills that, due to the time of year, were awash with gorgeous autumnal colours. We had a lovely walk around the hill following the ceremony, with a lake view. Even our dog got to be a part of the day 🙂 What really made it for us, though, were the team. We had to reschedule three times due to various lockdowns. Despite having a load of other rescheduled weddings to deal with, Christina and Joanna were incredibly understanding and supportive in helping us re-arrange. Despite having a smaller wedding for the site, we never felt side-lined for other bigger events. We felt the entire team, from owners to management to the cleaning staff, were lovely, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to make our day. For this, we couldn’t recommend Hause Hall highly enough.

This house is so lovely and the hosts are lovely too! The welcome hamper was amazing and the house was absolutely immaculate. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great long weekend with three couples and three infants staying at Gill Beck Barn. The house was beautifully appointed, very well-equipped and the open plan kitchen/living space was perfect for socialising all together. The bedrooms and en-suites were really lovely too. Christine was informative, easy to deal with and really helpful in answering my queries ahead of our stay. Thanks for a great weekend!

We loved our stay at Elk Cottage. Our daughter hadn’t seen her grandparents for over a year and this was the perfect place to spend some much needed family time. The cottage is beautiful with everything you could need. The welcome hamper was excellent. We particularly liked that the produce was local and that you even thought of our dogs! We only have positive feedback about the cottage, yourselves and the location.

We’ve stayed at several of the Rowley Estate properties and Elk Cottage did not disappoint. More so because we’d had a bad AirBnB experience in Ambleside and Christine and the team accommodated us at short notice. Many thanks for rescuing our precious time away and we will be back to enjoy a longer stay next year. Kind regards – Kirsty

We had a great weekend at Jenny’s croft. The cottage is very well equipped and the furniture and fittings are of a high standard. It is spacious yet feels cozy thanks to the big wood burner and good stock of logs. A lovely scenic and peaceful location. The welcome hamper was superb!

This trip was amazing from start to finish, after a gruelling 9 hour drive, our check in time was kindly brought forward. The hut was so remote, hidden, and beautiful. It has its own private bit of the river below, a bbq area and extra seating on the balcony area. Inside each little thing has been thought out, from a very welcome bed through to the kitchen which has everything you need to a bathroom provided with shampoo, conditioner, sprays and cleaning products. A basket with eggs, milk, home made jam, bread, coffee, tea and cereal and orange juice was on the side. It was so homely and so nice how much things had really been thought about. The location was ideal, with things only a short distance around. No signal in the Sheppard’s hut – but that was what i needed as i was trying to detox from work and have a romantic weekend with my partner. Will 100% book again and likely for longer next time as two nights was just not long enough. BOOK NOW and trust me you will not regret it.

We had an amazing stay at Jenny’s Croft. Our second stay at The Rowley Estates – and it didn’t disappoint. Very high standard, well equipped cottage and beautiful location. We originally booked Glassonby Old Hall as bridal party accommodation for our daughter’s wedding. When we had to change the date due to COVID, Christine could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately it was not available for the new wedding date so, instead, we decided to have a weekend away with friends – and what a fantastic weekend! The Hall is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything needed to make the weekend perfect. The location is great for a nice country walk or a walk to the pub for Sunday lunch. All information/directions/instructions were welcome and straightforward without making anything too complicated or too much work and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Riverain, it is a very comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished cottage in a fantastic location. The grounds are lovely with very well kept and pretty gardens. The cottage is within easy reach of everything we wanted to see and do in the Northern Lakes and the whole family loved our holiday. We have also stayed at Cazenovia Hall on the same site which was just as nice. Christine is the perfect host and the welcome hamper was very generous. We hope to be able to visit again soon!
